1. Deleting in the app
In the saisoop app, open “Data privacy” on the Profile screen. It has “Account deletion” and “Leave the service.” Only the signed-in owner can use this screen.
If you want to keep your information first, tap “Request data export” on the same screen. The app prepares your data as a JSON file, which takes up to 48 hours. The download link expires 30 days after the request.
2. Account deletion and leaving the service
- Account deletion request: After a 30-day grace period, personal information is deleted and anonymized. During the grace period you can withdraw the request with “Cancel deletion.” Once the operations team approves the deletion, it proceeds soon and the app no longer shows a cancel button.
- Leaving the service: After you confirm, you are signed out at once and can no longer use the service. A closed account cannot be recovered. Identifying information such as email, nickname, and name is de-identified immediately, and the rest is deleted automatically after 30 days.
While a deletion request is in progress, you cannot request to leave the service again.
3. When leaving is blocked
If money or other people’s meetups are still involved, the app shows the items in a “Cannot leave” window and guides you with “Resolve.” You can try again once they are done. Items that can block it include:
- Unfinished settlements, earnings not yet received, active meetup settlements and unpaid shares, and pending transfers
- Refund requests and disputes in progress, settlement appeals, card payment disputes, and withdrawals or payments in progress
- Sales or settlement amounts that must be recovered because of refunds
- A club you run (it must be handed to someone else), an active club subscription, or a pending club fund withdrawal
- Paid events or regular meetups you host with payments or refunds still owed to participants
- Paid point balance with no bank account to refund it to
- An account that is suspended or banned (leaving may be refused, so email us below)
The app handles these automatically when you leave: it cancels event applications and regular meetup enrollments, cancels free events you host, removes co-host assignments, leaves clubs, stops listings for sale, refunds remaining hosting tickets, expires dating matches, and deactivates your dating profile.
If leaving would forfeit participation fees you cannot get back, such as for a private meetup, the app lists each one and you must agree to forfeit before it proceeds.
4. What is deleted
When deletion is complete, we remove your profile (name, date of birth, gender, bio, photo, MBTI), addresses and interest tags, social login links, terms and privacy consent records, notification and device data, search settings, payment methods and bank accounts, calendar connections, stamp notes, dating profile, matches and chats, trait assessments, and export files. Email and nickname are replaced with values that cannot identify you, and your password and sign-in tokens are deleted.
Remaining paid points are reserved for refund, and free points expire.
5. What may remain, and for how long
Because of law or dispute handling, the following records are kept rather than deleted. Personal identifiers are still deleted or anonymized as above.
- Points, payment, and settlement transaction records: 5 years
- Tax invoice documents: 6 years; provider documents: 5 years after the relationship ends
- Warning and restriction records: 5 years
- Dispute records and evidence: 1 year after the dispute closes
- Chats and notifications tied to an open dispute: kept until it closes, then deleted
[Operator to confirm] The statutory provisions are unconfirmed. See the Privacy Policy for details.
6. If you cannot use the app
If you cannot install the app or sign in, request deletion at contact@saisoop.co.kr. Include the email address you registered with, your nickname, and your request. Do not include a password or national identification number.
We may ask for the minimum identity verification needed to process the request. [Operator to confirm] The verification method and processing time are not final.
